MideaCool was founded in 2008 in Foshan, China, by a team of refrigeration engineers who saw an opportunity to deliver industrial-grade chiller performance at a competitive total cost of ownership. Starting with a single 5,000 m² manufacturing facility, we focused on water-cooled screw chillers for the Southeast Asian food processing market.
Over 15 years, we have expanded to 3 manufacturing plants, 580 employees, and 18 service centers serving customers in 45+ countries. Our engineering team of 65 specialists continues to push the boundaries of chiller efficiency, achieving COP ratings up to 5.8 on our latest variable-speed centrifugal platform.

Every MideaCool project begins with a site-specific thermal load analysis. Our 65-member engineering team uses proprietary chiller selection software calibrated against 8,500+ field installations to model cooling demand under local ambient conditions, building occupancy profiles, and process heat rejection loads.
The selection process evaluates compressor type (screw vs. scroll vs. centrifugal), condenser configuration (air-cooled vs. water-cooled), refrigerant options (R-134a, R-290, R-744, R-1234ze), and control architecture (standalone vs. BMS-integrated) before generating a detailed engineering proposal with predicted COP, IPLV, and annual energy consumption.
In 2023, MideaCool delivered a complete refrigeration package for a 15,000 m² multi-temperature cold storage warehouse in Ho Chi Minh City. The project required three temperature zones: +4°C chilled storage, -18°C frozen storage, and -30°C blast freezing.
We supplied 6 condensing units (R-744 transcritical for the frozen zones, R-290 for the chilled zone), central monitoring via IoT-connected controllers, and a heat recovery system that preheats domestic water using rejected condenser heat. Total installed cooling capacity: 850 kW. The facility achieved a measured energy consumption of 38 kWh per m³ of cold storage per year, 22% below the ASHRAE benchmark for similar facilities in tropical climates.
